Another nice way to make a subordinate sentence is with – dass. In English we would say “that”.
Ich finde, dass er nett ist. I think, that he is nice. Ich denke, dass es morgen regnet. I think, that it will rain tomorrow.
The grammar is quite obvious: The sentence with “dass” is a subordinate sentence and the verb is shiftet to the end. With a modalverb it looks the following way:
Es ist schade, dass du nicht kommen kannst. It is a pity, that you can not come.
Perfect tense:
Ich finde es schön, dass es gestern geschneit hat. I find it nice, that it snowed yesterday.
